Where are the Fantastic Four?

The Fantastic Four #1 (cover dated Nov. 1961), helped to usher in a new level of realism in the comic medium. The Fantastic Four was the first superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, who developed a collaborative approach to creating comics. This title would set the pace for the Marvel universe for years to come. It formed a cornerstone of the company’s 1960s rise from a small division of a publishing company to a pop culture giant. The first 100 comics would bring the Marvel…

Silver Surfer #10 Review

I have read Silver Surfer stories for years and enjoyed them from the time since Norrin Radd first came to earth in Fantastic Four #48 in March 1966. There is something about the sad story of how Norrin became the Silver Surfer and Herald of Galactus, who was a cosmic force of destruction. Galactus hunger drove him to devour and absorber the power and substance of a planet. Norrin’s sacrifice saved his planet homeworld Zenn-La but condemned him to search the heavens using his Cosmic powers to find more planets…

Check Out the Fantastic 4 Teaser Trailer

I am having a hard time hating this movie, that being said the trailer reminds me of the storyline of the Ultimate Fantastic 4 storyline, which is a great story and a great retelling of the fantastic 4 origin. I am huge Fantastic 4 and a Marvel studios fan since Iron Man, which I still believe is the perfect superhero movie and I am a consistent 20th Century Fox detractor. Why a Fox detractor? They, like Sony, do not get that film making is art and not cookie cutter crap…

Fantastic Four Reboot to Shoot in Louisiana

According to The Wrap, production on Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot will roll cameras in Louisiana instead of the previously-rumored Vancouver. Production is slated to begin sometime this September. This marks the first Marvel-based Fox film to shoot in Louisiana, after many of the studio’s superhero movies — such as “X-Men” and the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” — were shot in Canada. For those unfamiliar with the characters, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm were normal people traveling in space on a scientific mission…

Did Jonathan Hickman “Solve Everything” with Fantastic Four and FF

I have always enjoyed the idea of the Fantastic Four.  Marvel Comics first team.  These unlikely heroes have often captivated and befuddled me.  For me the Fantastic Four were always in the background of the comics I was collecting.  I remember them with H.e.r.b.i.e. the Robot on Saturday morning cartoons.  The first time I purchased a Fantastic Four issue was the “heroes reborn series” and with that I was hooked.  I fell in love with the idea that this family was the very backbone of the marvel universe.  I understood…
