Marvel Civil War II #3 Review

I loved Mark Millar’s Civil War series in 2006–2007 with art by Steven McNiven. It had everything you would want in a cross over superhero comic extravaganza. Civil War follows the implementation and consequences of the Superhuman Registration Act, a legislative bill that requires the mandatory registration of any person based in the United States with super powers. The act arose due to public pressure for accountability following a series of superhuman-related events causing significant damage and death within the Marvel universe. Tony Stark, the superhero Iron Man, who had…

Writer Jason Aaron has really done something with the relationship between Bruce banner and his alter ego the Hulk that has never been done. He has killed Banner and introduced the idea that the creature instead of the man may have been the calming part of the Banner/Hulk. Well when Stan Lee and Jack Kirby introduced the character the Hulk back in 1962 Bruce…

Incredible Hulk #2 Review

Incredible Hulk #2 in Jason Aaron’s relaunch of the Incredible Hulk builds on the story that Banner is obsessed by the fact that the Hulk is no longer part of him. Even his love for Betty is secondary to Banners drive to get the Hulk back. The mad scientist role of Bruce Banner is a aspect of the character unlike any story line written before. Bruce Banner is considered one of the greatest minds on Earth. He has developed expertise in the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering, and physiology, and holds…
