Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy Passes at 83

Leonard Nimoy, who played Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek series, was hospitalized last week following complaints of severe chest pains. Nimoy revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. According to the Times, Nimoy’s wife Susan Nimoy confirmed the death while confirming COPD as the official cause of his death. In addition to Spider-Man returning to Marvel, Marvel Studios has announced new release dates for Thor 3, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and the Inhumans. Thor 3 moves from a July 28, 2017 release (now held by Spider-Man) to November 3, 2017. Black Panther moves from November 3, 2017 to July 6, 2018. Sony and Marvel Agree On Spider-Man Deal

Following weeks of speculation, a deal between Sony and Marvel Studios to share big-screen control of Spider-Man is now official, announced Monday night in a joint release on Marvel.com. The announcement states the new Spider-Man will debut in an as-yet undisclosed Marvel Studios film, with a co-produced Spider-Man solo film following on July 28, 2017.
