So You Like Superhero Movies

Age Of Ultron
Age Of Ultron

Well the movie studios have a war going on and we will be the recipient of a heavy schedule of movie productions. Starting in 2015 we have  May 1: Avengers: Age of Ultron, and July 17: Ant-Man both by Marvel Studios which here lately can’t do anything wrong according to the box office tickets sold. And August 7: Fantastic Four (Fox), Fox will reboot the super group into the modern day world. They have the first black Human Torch played by Michael B. Jordan with Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as the Invisible Woman, and Jamie Bell as the Thing. Let ‘s see if Fox Studios can do well in the reboot of the Fantastic Four.

In 2016 of course we have March 25: Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice by Warner Bros. and May 6: Captain America: Civil War by Marvel Studios. Also coming is February 12: Deadpool (Fox), May 27: X-Men: Apocalypse (Fox), August 5: Suicide Squad, November 4: Doctor Strange, and November 11: Sinister Six (Sony) with Spider Man. So save your ticket money and check these movies out. The full list is below. We have included a comment from Christopher Nolan who brought us the Batman trilogy of movies which sold over a billion tickets.

Christopher Nolan: “I love working in that field and hopefully I’ve added something to it. I know to some extent we encouraged more of it. You don’t want Hollywood to hit saturation point with those things. But then Zack Snyder is now doing his part by bringing Batman and Superman into one film [for 2016’s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice], so that limits the number! But yes DC Comics have just announced an enormous number of movies. Well, you know, as long as that’s the ride people want, the studios will continue to offer it. I don’t see it as a limited genre. If I did, I never would have worked for almost ten years in that genre. I think like any genre, like the Western, it has limitless opportunities. It’s just about the audience’s appetite. What’s very important is that the studios be open to making other sorts of films at the same time.”
