Part of the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past are familiar actors: Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer announced the news Tuesday via Twitter, indicating that the actors will indeed be returning to the familiar roles of Professor Xavier and Magneto. Singer previously worked with Stewart and McKellen on 2000’s X-Men and 2003’s X2: X-Men United. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are also returning for the film, reprising their X-Men: First Class roles as the younger versions of Xavier and Magneto. Days of Future Past is a time travel story, but many of you already knew that. X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for release from Fox on July 18, 2014.
With no tie in to the regular Marvel Entertainment run of movies (Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America) looks like he X-Men are here to stay on the big screen. Wolverine movie is scheduled to premier July 26, 2013 with Hugh Jackman in the lead role, he also is listed in Days of Future Past cast on IMDb website here. Marvel is on the move bringing their comic favorites to the big screen. The possibilities are endless imagine a movie with the Avengers, X-Men and the Fantastic Four in the same movie directed by Joss Whedon. Wow what a movie that would be to see with a good script. Well pardon me while I come back to earth something like that may not even be in the minds of those at Marvel Entertainment. Perhaps in 2020. We can see the evolution of superhero movies at Marvel. Just maybe Warner Bros. will catch on one of these days, right now Marvel is leaving them in the dust.
