CBS has renewed Star Trek: Discovery for a second season. The series can be found on the CBS All Access digital network and is set about ten years before the original Star Trek TV series. Leonard Nimoy, who played Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek series, was hospitalized last week following complaints of severe chest pains. Nimoy revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. According to the Times, Nimoy’s wife Susan Nimoy confirmed the death while confirming COPD as the official cause of his death.
