Heroes Reborn - The Aurora Teaser Trailer

Heroes Reborn is the title of the reboot of the show Heroes. Scheduled to be a 13-episode event series, the reboot will air in 2015. Original series creator Tim Kring is on board to run the show. It is expected that Heroes Reborn will be a stand-alone story; no characters have been announced, though NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said, “we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.” A webseries, set to air before Heroes Reborn is televised, will introduce new…’Read

moviemaniacsDE Posts Daredevil Teaser Trailer On YouTube

“Daredevil” is the first of five upcoming Marvel Studios series coming to netflix.com. I have always been a Daredevil comic fan and not so much a fan of the 2003 Daredevil theatrical release.   I never blamed Ben Affleck for ruining Daredevil I have always blamed 20th Century Fox and their need to meddle, which was discussed by Mark Steven Johnson on the Daredevil Directors Cut and in my humble opinion a far superior film. Anyway back to the trailer I love what this trailer shows.  I love the costume which appears…’Read

Game Of Thrones Season 5 Trailer

While HBO has yet to officially debut it online, the Game of Thrones Season 5 trailer, which debuted in IMAX on Thursday, has been making the rounds online in one form or another. As such, we’ve decided to take a look at it and examine what questions the trailer raises for the coming season. Season 5 is based on A Dance of Dragons, so fans who are caught up with the book series will likely know the answer to some, if not all, of these questions. Be nice, and don’t…’Read

Check Out the Fantastic 4 Teaser Trailer

I am having a hard time hating this movie, that being said the trailer reminds me of the storyline of the Ultimate Fantastic 4 storyline, which is a great story and a great retelling of the fantastic 4 origin. I am huge Fantastic 4 and a Marvel studios fan since Iron Man, which I still believe is the perfect superhero movie and I am a consistent 20th Century Fox detractor. Why a Fox detractor? They, like Sony, do not get that film making is art and not cookie cutter crap…’Read

And at the end of the comic book is another version of Beyonder enities from the Beyond Realm. They followed Hank Pym to earth and meet the Avengers, Hank called them the Ivory Kings and The White…’Read

Tom Cavanagh Talks Playing the Reverse-Flash, "Finally"

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains potential spoilers for future installments of “The Flash.” Since the very first episode of “The Flash,” it’s been clear that Dr. Harrison Wells — played by Tom Cavanagh — had much more going on than just being the head of S.T.A.R. Labs. For starters, it was quickly revealed he wasn’t actually disabled as a result of the particle accelerator explosion, as he stands up out of his wheelchair with ease at the end of the pilot. Oh, and also he was in possession of a…’Read

Robin Rises: Alpha #1 Review

As the title indicates, Robin returns to the DC Universe in “Robin Rises: Alpha” #1, written by Peter J. Tomasi and drawn by Andy Kubert. Sporting ink work from Jonathan Glapion throughout most of the issue, the final two pages — a double-page spread — are inked by Kubert. The entire issue is colored by Brad Anderson and lettered by Dezi Sienty, as everyone returns from Apokolips, several of them the worse for wear. A year-and-a-half in the making, “Robin Rises: Alpha” #1 would be certain to bring smiles to…’Read

Is the Marvel Universe Changing?

DC Comics in 1938, with Action Comics #1, launched the original comic book super hero universe. They introduced Superman, the Man of Steel, the Last Son of Krypton, the Man of Tomorrow. Very soon afterwards they introduced Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkman, the Flash and more. Then, in All Star Comics #3, they took the boldest step yet and introduced the Justice Society of America and with that created a shared universe. Over the course of the next fifty years, the DCU expanded exponentially and one world was no…’Read

Amazing Spider-Man #11 Review

Spider-Verse has already gotten a great deal of mileage out of cramming as many versions of Spider-Man onto the page as possible and watching the chaos that unfolds as a result. There’s plenty more of that in this third chapter. However, more compelling than Spider-mania is the long-awaited confrontation between Peter Parker and the man who stole his body and calls himself the Superior Spider-Man. That confrontation is the highlight of another memorable chapter in the Spider-Verse saga. Dan Slott picks up from the chaos of issue #10 as multiple…’Read

Spider-Man: "Renew Your Vows" Summer 2015 teaser

This past Tuesday afternoon Spider-Man writer Dan Slott tweeted this warning to Marvel readers: “Set your watch. Your next Spider-Man related freak out is on the way.” Slott wasn’t just whistling Dixie. Marvel has premiered their latest “Summer 2015” teaser (which we’re still convinced are all related to Secret Wars) and it’s another callback to an iconic and now controversial moment in Spider-Man history – his wedding to Mary Jane Watson in 1987’s Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21, undone in 2007’s One More Day storyline … but with a twist. The…’Read

Dan Slott Says "No One is Safe" in "Spider-Verse"

“Amazing Spider-Man” writer Dan Slott visited the CBR Tiki Room at New York Comic Con for another entertaining and wide-ranging interview with CBR TV’s Jonah Weiland. The writer talks about how often fans accuse him of killing their childhood, how anything could happen to any character in Marvel Comics’ upcoming “Spider-Verse” event and why Spider-Gwen took everyone — even him — by surprise. The writer also discusses his impact on Spider-Man, from Silk graduating to her own ongoing series to where he ranks in terms of number of issues written.…’Read

"Constantine" Pilot's Ratings Survive World Series

In his television debut, DC Comics’ John Constantine took on demons and angels, but the sardonic Brit occult detective faced an opponent he’s yet to match wits against in comics: baseball. NBC’s pilot for “Constantine” — starring Matt Ryan as the titular antihero — went up against Game 3 of the World Series and escaped relatively unscathed, with 4.3 million people tuning in. Variety reports that the 10 pm Friday night debut of the “Constantine” pilot held on to 90% of the audience that tuned into the fourth-season premiere of…’Read

Event Synopsis After sensing that Silk was released from captivity by Spider-Man, Morlun stated that the Great Hunt, where he and his family would kill every Spider-Totem in the Multiverse, had begun. As the Inheritors killed numerous Spider-themed heroes, the time-displaced Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) created a team to fight the enemies. Meanwhile, other villains were embarked in similar quests. The Goblin tried to gather the DNA from different Spider-Men across multiple universes, and the Multiversal Sinister Six attempted to conquer numerous universes by taking the Isotope-8 from one in specific.…’Read

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

The next DC Animated film, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is coming in 2015, but some cast and crew made the trip out to New York Comic Con to give a special first look to the fans in attendance, and give an inside look into the making of the film. Stephen from Yahoo came out to moderate the panel. He introduced character designer Phil Bourassa, writer Heath Corson, casting and voice director Andrea Romano, producer James Tucker, and star Matt Lanter, the movie’s Arthur Curry aka Aquaman. Tucker explained that…’Read

The Amazing Spider-Man #6 Review

The Good The roller coaster ride that is Peter Parker’s life continues. Dan Slott hasn’t slowed down since bringing Peter Parker back to the role of Spider-Man. He’s discovered Black Cat is completely ticked off at him (and has teamed up with Electro to build her own criminal empire), a new Spider-person has surfaced who was bitten by the same spider he was (before it died), and last issue we left off with J. Jonah Jameson announcing on live television that Spider-Man has been unmasked. Just another day for Spider-Man.…’Read

Ben Affleck Talks Batman

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice isn’t Ben Affleck’s first superhero rodeo, as he famously played the Man Without Fear in 2003′s widely criticized Daredevil. With director Zack Snyder’s Dawn of Justice, he returns to the genre with higher expectations and even more fan pressure than ever. But to hear Affleck tell it, he’s more than ready for the challenge. “Before I took the role, Warner Bros. gave me a bunch of past reactions to casting and said, ‘Are you sure you want to get into this? This is part…’Read
