Carrie Fisher ‘heart attack’ Dead at 60 RIP

Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, has suffered a serious heart attack, according to her brother. Fisher was on a flight to Los Angeles from London after completing filming on the third season of the British television comedy Catastrophe when the incident occurred. The 60-year-old actor is being treated in an intensive care unit in LA.

Paramedics reportedly performed CPR on Carrie Fisher for 15 minutes until they were able to get a pulse, TMZ reports. The actress was on a ventilator at UCLA Medical Center.

Carrie Fisher’s brother, Todd, told the Associated Press that she’s “out of emergency” and stabilized at the hospital. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, and her beloved dog, Gary, are also by her side, according to TMZ.

“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” Simon Halls said.

Fisher’s death came four days after she suffered a cardiac event on a flight from London to Los Angeles, according to a source familiar with the situation.
