Star Trek: Discovery Spock Is In Season 2

As you remember the first season of CBS’ show Star Trek: Discovery had a cliffhanger finale that revealed Captain Pike and the crew of the Enterprise meets up with Discovery. As we know before Spock was second in command of the Enterprise he served with Captain Pike as his Science Officer, but is Spock on board?

As we wait for Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery, actor Soniqua Martin-Green teases the arrival of Michael Burnham’s adoptive brother, Spock, when the show returns. Speaking with Deadline, the Discovery lead revealed what’s next for Burnham and whether she will get to meet with Spock in Season 2.

“You know, Aaron Harberts, he said after the finale, on After Trek, that Season 2 was going to be about that line between science and faith,” confirmed Martin-Green. “He also said that there’s going to be a lot of family dynamic. It is the Enterprise in that shot. We all know who is on the Enterprise. You see Sarek and Burnham look at each other, and there you have it.”

While the show’s first season focused on establishing Discovery within the Prime Timeline it looks like season 2 will bring us back to Gene Roddenberry’s original Star Trek TV series with some already established characters.

It is now time for the actual Spock to make his presence known in the sci-fi series. We are told that Sarek’s biological son will be set to appear in the Jonathan Frakes-directed second episode of season 2. Discovery has confirmed that Inhumans actor Anson Mount will play Captain Pike in Season 2, but there is still no news who will be playing Spock during the next run of episodes.

Discovery producers have acknowledged that the Enterprise crossover was a planned part of the show. With the appearance of the Enterprise, there is a chance we may see a certain James T. Kirk at some point in the show Discovery. For now, we can deal with a Michael Burnham and Spock meeting in the second season.

Available for viewing now on the CBS All Access streaming platform, Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Shazad Latif, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, Mary Chieffo, Jason Isaacs and Michelle Yeoh.
