Reading through Marvel’s news and previews Marvel is publishing Hickman and weavers final issues of 2011 S.H.I.E.L.D. Although last month he did tweet he had not signed a deal with anyone, Marvel could use the win. He did finish the Scripts for 2011 S.H.I.E.L.D. so we will get see Dustin Weaver’s beautiful art that has been sitting on a shelf getting dusty in the Marvel’s space in the Disney Vault. But what does that mean? Is Hickman back it has been rumored that if he signs with Marvel whatever he does he will get a modicum of creative control.
Just speculating here and contributing to the Reddit Buzz it would be cool if took the X-Men helm, or since he is putting out his S.H.I.E.L.D. anew and S.H.I.E.L.D. is basically no more in Marvel maybe Secret Warriors will get a restart. I think I would like to see him come back and start with Wolverine and build something cool there. If and when he does come back to Marvel I will be there to buy whatever book he writes.
Catch S.H.I.E.L.D. when it comes out in May and if you missed the first 4 issues they will be re-released in a collected addition around the same time. Until then here are the covers of the series to get you excited!
