I have a large 800 piece comic book collection, mostly Marvel and DC. It starts from the 50s- early 80s and need to have it appraised. Any suggestions??

What a great question I will put together an article to explain to my readers how to get a fair appraisal of what they have. But the short answer is find out for yourself. What is the general grade of the comics in your collection and how many are key comics produced over the years. There is a retail value charged by people who run retail stores and are involved in sales these people are looking to get comics at a lower cost so asking them runs the risk of them under valuing your collection.
The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is the bible of price guides it even shows the value of comics in all grades well worth the purchase. 800 comics will take a while to evaluate properly. But it will be worth it. At least find out some of the better comics are worth in your collection so you don’t get confused when a retailer evaluates your collection. Be careful and know what you have. I hope you can take a little time to find out what the difference there is between a 2 dollar comic and a 200 dollar comic.
Good luck and thanks for visiting us at Comics Talk, 🙂 Walt
The special effects in the trailer look outstanding. With a great story and good acting may be the best Marvel Movie single
