The original Doom Patrol first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80 (June 1963) just about the same time Marvel introduced the original X-Men. Writers Arnold Drake (who was the feature’s regular scripter) and Bob Haney, artist Bruno Premiani, and editor Murray Boltinoff are generally credited as the team’s creators. The Crime Syndicate of America is back, and they’re taking over the New 52. DC confirmed that the evil team known as the Crime Syndicate of America will be the villains that overtake the Earth in Forever Evil, the seven-issue mini-series that starts in September. “Villains Month” is a forthcoming crossover event published by DC Comics in September 2013. It is the first line wide crossover since The New 52 reboot of their shared fictional universe, and involves the regular comics stopping publication for a month, with titles focusing on the villains, such as The Joker and Bizzaro being published instead.
