Suicide Squad Extended Cut Announcement Trailer Released

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer announcing the extended cut of Suicide Squad.

No further details about the content of the Suicide Squad Extended Cut were released, but it is most likely similar in concept to the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition, which restored many scenes that were removed from the film’s theatrical release during editing.

We know that much of Jared Leto’s performance as the Joker was cut from Suicide Squad’s theatrical release and that director David Ayer’s original cut of the film was heavily altered before release. Perhaps we’ll see both more of Leto’s Joker and more of Ayer’s original vision in the Suicide Squad Extended Cut.

The Suicide Squad Extended Cut releases on Digital HD on Nov. 15 and on Blu-ray on Dec. 13.

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad is direct by David Ayer and stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
