Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Performance

Guardians 3 is a decent movie that rounds out a successful run by James Gunn with Marvel before he attacks his new job with Peter Safran as Co-Chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios. I agreed with critic Matt Hudson when he said in his review of the movie: It isn’t top-tier Marvel, but it’s damn solid with some great gags and action throughout. Compared to recent MCU releases, however, it’s a rousing success. Matt was referring to the lackluster quality and box office performance in the release in Marvel movies…’Read

Shazam: Fury of the Gods 'Disappoinment'

The Shazam sequel opened the week of March 15,2023, to $30,111,158 over the opening weekend. That is about 23,500,000 less than Shazam! (2019) opening of $53,505,326 on April 3 of that year. This performance does not bode well for James Gunn and Peter Safran, named Co-Chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios, green lighting a Shazam 3 in the future plans of the DCU. Some wonder if the film was as good as the original movie, but most agree it was on par with the first Shazam release. So is this…’Read

The Venom 2 box office has crushed all estimates and again proven that people are not afraid of going to movie theaters, just as I have said all along.
