Robert De Niro & Marc Maron’s Joker Movie Role

Robert De Niro

From “The Hashtag Show” speculation is that Robert De Niro and Marc Maron’s roles have been confirmed for Todd Phillips’ Joker origin film.

As previously told, De Niro will be playing a late night talk show host. Maron will be the show’s producer handling the booking of guests to appear on the late night program. Joaquin Phoenix’s character will fail as a standup comedian on the show that will result in public humiliation for the future DC supervillain.

It is indicated that Maron’s currently unnamed character is not expected to have a particularly large role in the upcoming prequel and will appear in scenes with De Niro.

The film expected to begin photography in New York City in a matter of weeks, it will interesting to see how their characters affect Phoenix’s title character on his way to becoming the most iconic villain in the DC Comics. It sounded plausible so we filed this report.

Directed and co-written by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix as the title character along with Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz. It is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2019.
