Next year’s “Reign of Doomsday” is still clouded in mystery but the folks at DC Universe: The Source continue to release teases of the upcoming storyline. In STEEL #1 — which kicks off “Reign of Doomsday” – Doomsday has returned to Metropolis, and Steel is the only hero who can keep him from destroying the city. But how can Steel, a normal human, possibly hope to stop the monster who killed Superman? This issue, written by Steve Lyons with a cover by Alex Garner, now features art by Ed Benes. This is the first in the story arc “Reign of Doomsday”. Chapter two of “Reign of Doomsday” will appear in OUTSIDERS #37, to be solicited in the December Previews for February in store. Watch for further chapters of this epic coming in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #55 in March and SUPERBOY #6 in April, with the fifth chapter to appear in a surprise title.
Doomsday the monster that won’t stay dead was clobbered by the combined might of Kryptonians in the series New Krypton. The remains of Doomsday’s body was given to Lex Luther by General lane to make a possible weapon against the Kryptonian threat. But now Doomsday comes back to life more powerful than ever and begins to carve a new path of destruction throughout the DCU. If the name “Reign of Doomsday” sounds familiar it is a take off of the “Reign of Superman” storyline after Doomsday and Superman beat each other to death, or so it seemed. But Superman like Doomsday is hard to kill.
Now DC is bringing back the characters from Reign of Superman starting with Steel #1. We know that Superboy (Conner Kent) will be involved later that leaves Eradicator and Cyborg Superman will they appear? Who knows, only a few people at DC Comics. I expect to see Superman before it’s over but we will see. Should conclude in May 2011. Doomsday is one of the more interesting Super Beings in comics someone who just won’t die. How do you stop the unstoppable. Another reason to see you at the comic shop. Stay tuned comic faithful for more. 🙂 Walt
So beautiful sharing!Thank you very much.
Wow, what a blog! I mean, you just have so a lot guts to go ahead and tell it like it’s. Youre what blogging wants, an open minded superhero who isnt afraid to tell it like it can be. This is undoubtedly some thing folks must be up on. Very good luck in the future, man.
