Actor Chris Hemsworth has opened up about his upcoming return as Thor in Avengers: Age of Ultron, revealing how the sequel and Marvel’s God of Thunder would ultimately affect each other.

While Hemsworth couldn’t divulge too many details on the film’s plot, he did reveal that Thor will lock horns with The Vision. Little is still officially known about the character, other than that the super heroic Android will join the team by the film’s end. But like most most book partnerships, it looks like the Vision’s will begin with a clash amongst superheroes.

When Thor fights the Vision, Hemsworth told IGN during a set visit, it “is their first meeting really. And it’s, as you can see, it’s conflicted. It’s a big fight scene.”

And whereas Thor maintained several ties to Asgard in the first Avengers outing, facing his brother Loki as the main villain, Hemsworth said his character will be far more grounded to Earth during for a majority of Age of Ultron. As Hemsworth revealed, Thor hasn’t returned to Asgard since Thor: The Dark World, and currently sees Midgard as his home. But eventually, Ultron’s larger threat will redirect him back home, where Loki still remains hidden as Odin.

“The initial threat of attack from Ultron is personal,” Hemsworth said. “Thor then begins to see a bigger picture about what this threat could potentially be and it begins to tie into all of our films.”

“Halfway through [the story] Thor begins to have suspicions about what the bigger picture is here, you know. Who’s involved” Hemsworth continued. “And he actually doesn’t know by the end of it, but he starts to think something’s not right here. [He thinks] ‘This is all a little too convenient. ‘Why has this happened?’ Which you know, certainly points his focus back there [to Asgard].”

Finally, Hemsworth confirmed that the Scarlett Witch would, at some point in the movie, force all of the Avengers to see their greatest nightmares. Each character, from the sound of Hemsworth’s comments, will experience a “dream sequence” where their fears will manifest before them. For Thor, Hemsworth said it was “the corruption of power.”
