Brendan Fraser has been cast as the voice of Robotman in DC Universe’s Doom Patrol series.

In the DC comic books, Robotman is Cliff Steele, a stunt driver whose brain is implanted in a robot body following a near-fatal accident. DC confirmed the casting, saying Robotman had “found his voice.” Deadline reports that Fraser will also appear in flashbacks as Cliff Steele, while actor Riley Shanahan will portray Robotman’s physical presence.

Actor Jake Michaels was previously reportedly cast in the role Robotman for DC Universe’s Titans – though Robotman would not be the first character to appear in Titans to be recast for Doom Patrol, with Kelsey Grammar reportedly in talks for the role of Niles Caulder following reports of Bruno Bichir’s casting in the role for Titans.
