Ricky Whittle on Instagram has revealed the premiere date for the second season of American Gods.
Whittle stars in the Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s epic novel as the lead character, Shadow Moon. The series is about Shadow and his journey alongside Mr. Wednesday, who is actually the Norse god Odin trying to recruit an army of old gods and mystical entities to fight a new generation of gods.
Whittle’s Instagram account, revealed that the season will premiere on Starz on Mar. 10, 2019. The series will also be posted to Amazon Prime and made available to stream in 200 different territories worldwide.
American Gods has been reportedly had many behind-the-scenes problems, with actors departing the series and showrunner Jesse Alexander being forced out after production fell behind schedule and over budget. The premiere of the new season is overshadowed by the desire to tell Neil Gaiman’s story and the fans of the show wanting a good series.
