Continuing DC Entertainment’s and Warner Bros year-long celebration of Wonder Woman’s 75th anniversary is a new video featuring 75 different versions of the Amazing Amazon.
Wonder Woman is celebrating her 75th Anniversary this year, and she still
looks as great as ever. But she hasn’t always looked the same. In this special
Wonder Woman anniversary clip, we look at 75 different Wonder Women from
throughout Diana’s comic book life. How many do you recognize?
In a DC Press Release from last month, Diane Nelson, President of DC
Entertainment, President of Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and President and
Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, said:
"Wonder Woman has long stood with Batman and Superman in the trinity of
DC’s most iconic Super Heroes, but she also stands alone as a symbol of
equality, justice and female empowerment and is more relevant today than ever.
With her roots in Greek mythology and American feminism, Wonder Woman is one of
the most unique and compelling characters in comic book history; her longevity
is a testament to her global appeal and the special place she holds in the
hearts of generations of girls who have imagined wielding their own lassos of
truth."
If you can make it to the San Diego Comic-Con next week, Wonder Woman events
to watch out for include a "Wonder Woman 75" panel, displays of Lynda
Carter’s original costume from the 1970s TV series, and additional costumes
including Gal Gadot’s from the upcoming "Wonder Woman" film. The
coolest thing may be the life-size Wonder Woman invisible jet that will be on
display and which will illuminate at night for fan photos.
