The producers of Krypton announced in July at Comic-Con International that Lobo The Bounty Hunter would be introduced to the cast for Season 2. Lobo will be joining such DC comics characters as Adam Strange, General Zod, and Brainiac.
Syfy’s Superman prequel Krypton has cast Constantine actor Emmett J. Scanlan as Lobo, the fan-favorite intergalactic bounty hunter. Coming in the upcoming second season. The cigar-chomping, ruthless Czarnian possesses extraordinary strength and regenerative abilities. We will see how he plays into the story which has surprised the many DC and Superman fans with its turns and twist of Superman lore.
Returning cast for a second season on Syfy, Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Ian McElhinney as Val-El and Blake Ritson as Brainiac.
Krypton Showrunner Cameron Welsh said about the show and Lobo’s appearance. “We introduced Brainiac for the first time in live action, Adam Strange for the first time in live action, and the opportunity to do that with Lobo was obviously exciting for us, He’s mostly going to interact with Seg, and he’ll be unlike anything Seg has ever encountered before.”
As a wild hired gun, Lobo doesn’t necessarily seem like he could even exist in the Krypton universe. “Lobo on the page is such a broad character, and the tone of our show is so grounded, so it feels like a bit of a mismatch, but that’s kind of what’s exciting about it as well,” Welsh explained. “He’s not going to ride around on space dolphins like he did in the comics, but he’s meant to feel like a contrast to everything else we’ve seen.” See The Video below.
