Smallville Finale – With Michael Rosenbaum As Lex Luthor!

Clark and Lex

The CW has announced that Smallville will conclude with a two-hour series finale on Friday, May 13. 10 years in the making it will be watched by many fans. Michael Rosenbaum will return as Lex Luther the number one nemeses of Superman. He had told many that he would not return but the fans changed his mind. This is the statement given by Michael Rosenbaum: “I’m delighted to return for the series finale,” Rosenbaum said in a statement. “I’m simply doing it for all of the fans out there who made Smallville the great success it is. I appreciate all of their passion, their relentlessness, and even their threats. Ha ha.” “I can’t wait to hug the old crew back in Vancouver one last time and see all of my old friends once again. Oh, and for Lex to become the bad-ass he’s destined to be,” he continued.

Lex Returns

Lex Luther you knew it had to be he had to come back if Clark is to become Superman then there has to be a Lex Luther. Lex Luthor, introduced in the pilot as the son of billionaire Lionel Luthor (John Glover), is sent to Smallville by his father to run the local fertilizer plant. As a child, he is caught in the first meteor shower that renders him completely bald. After Clark Kent (Tom Welling) saves his life, the two quickly become friends. As the years go by they grow apart, Clark is drawn to his future Superman role and Lex for many reasons becomes as bad as we knew he would killing his own father and taking over LexCorp and the power of money. Assumed dead he is now back and confronts Clark in the series finale.

Clark and Lois Wedding

Lois and Clark have a wedding and it looks like Oliver will be best man and Chloe will be the matron of honor. Matt Mitovich at TVLine reveals that Martha and, somehow, Jonathan Kent are guests at the wedding. How that is accomplished remains to be seen. Will we see Clark put the suit on and become Superman the Man of Steel? I think we will and wish we could see more. Just remember this is a beginning of Superman the one Clark was destine to become. On Friday, May 13 I recommend you have your TV set to the CW for the Last installment of Smallville. Stay tuned comic faithful for more. 🙂 Walt
