‘Man of Steel’ Will Reveal “The Fate of Lois and Jon” #comics

Brian Michael Bendis has told interviewers that he has no plans to scrap Superman’s marriage to Lois Lane as part of his takeover of the Superman books, which has also seen the cancellations of related titles like Super-Sons and Supergirl — but solicitation text for his upcoming miniseries The Man of Steel has some fans worried.

The text of the previews for The Man of Steel series highlights “what’s going on with Lois and Jon,” and “the fate of Lois and Jon.” The net effect is to create uncertainty about the characters’ future — which of course is the objective of marketing text like this.

So glad Bendis is no longer at Marvel, let him mess up DC’s characters, DC will regret letting him anywhere near the Trinity. Hopefully, Jason Aaron can right the ship at Marvel now that Bendis is gone.

  2. John Connor Coulston

If they kill Jon I will be P I S S E D. The father-son dynamic is one of my fav beats of the Rebirth run. Plus even the hint killing Lois is a huge red flag.

  3. Gerard Beritela

If he kills Lois and/or Jon or even Krypto or in any way messes up their family, I swear I will stop buying Superman comics, which I bought as a child for many years and as an adult have bought continuously since 1996!!
