Injustice 2 looks set to continue the story that was established in Injustice: Gods Among Us, the original game that released back in 2013. Whereas the original game pitted Batman against Superman as the central conflict, the situation in Injustice 2 is complicated by the arrival of Brainiac.
Featuring a playable roster of near 40 characters, Injustice 2 boasts a variety of characters from across the DC Universe, such as Batman, Superman, Doctor Fate, Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Bane, Atrocitus, and Gorilla Grodd.
This page will act as a central hub of knowledge for Injustice 2, containing every new piece of information as soon as it is announced by developer NetherRealm Studios, including all characters, reviews and more.
Injustice 2 launches in North America on May 16 (the UK has to wait until May 19!) and the first reviews for the game are now live. We’ve rounded up the best and the general opinion seems to be that the game is pretty great!
Gamespot: 9/10 – “NetherRealm has delivered a fighting game that can be enjoyed by new players and pros alike in ways that go beyond pure competition. It’s a bar that every fighting game should meet, but one that has up until now seemed out of reach.”
Eurogamer: Recommended – “In short, Injustice 2 is the complete fighting game package, and it’s one I hope other developers in the genre take notice of.”
Game Informer: 9/10 – “With DC’s cinematic universe pumping out one bad movie after another, Injustice 2 is the best way to see just how powerful and diverse its heroes are.”
To celebrate the launch of Injustice 2 on PS4 and Xbox One Warner Bros. has released a trailer showing off the game in action.
Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the mobile version of Injustice 2, which is available to download and play on iOS and Android right now. The game is free-to-play and links up with the PS4 and Xbox One versions. By completing missions and challenges in Injustice 2 Mobile, you’ll be able to unlock gear and content for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One iterations.
A brand-new trailer for Injustice 2 gives a deep overview of the game and its systems. The video provides and look at the new gear system, the Multiverse mode and the Injustice 2 mobile game.
The trailer gave a look at some characters in alternative, unlockable gear, such as Green Arrow in a red outfit, as well as Supergirl in a green-based outfit. Custom items were also detailed, and we got a brief look at Hal Jordan hitting Supergirl with a gigantic, yellow fist.
A variety of different planets were also glimpsed during the “Multiverse” section of the trailer, where it was revealed that each different area in the multiverse would throw a spanner into the works of every fight. For example, in one area a missile randomly hit Wonder Woman, freezing her in place and allowing Bane to deal significant damage to her.
Perhaps the most exciting thing revealed in the trailer was the Guilds feature for Injustice 2. Through Guilds, players will be able to team up and advance up the leaderboards as a unit, as well as earning new reward items through daily and weekly challenges.
