Will Warner Bros. do a Marvel style post credit sequence to lead into the next installment? Well, not exactly. The following is not only original, but BRILLIANT! Zack Snyder has utilized the following technique before on
Watchmen. You guys ready?
The closing credits on Batman v Superman will consist of a montage sequence reminiscent of what Zack Snyder did with the opening credits on
Watchmen. Don’t remember that montage? Check it out.
Warner Bros.
- The opening credits montage on Watchmen ran five minutes and
thirty six seconds and was one of the best things about the movie. Set to
Bob Dylan’s classic “The times they are a-changin,” the montage
gave us the history of The Minutemen and set the tone of the world
of Watchmen. The montage was executed wonderfully and set up the
1940s reality of The Minutemen.
Using this technique as a closing credits montage to set up The Justice
League is a stroke of brilliance. It worked for The Minutemen and
can work for The Justice League. Using this technique, Warners avoids
the comparisons to Marvel in the event they wanted to use a post-credit scene.
This is a possible action taken by Snyder in the new Batman v Superman movie
coming in March. We will see.
