What a great time this is to see my childhood favorites come to the big screen with such quality and powerful story. Batman is as he should be in this movie a hero icon with mystery and flare. Very human and yet above the usual scrutiny of normal people because he is very above normal. He has a moral strenth that is extraordinary and gets the most out of his abilities. We learned in this story that he is not the flip side of the Joker in personality but even more a complicated person than the Villains he fights. Great acting all around a movie event that will go down in movie history as one of the best. While a little long in lenth this in my judgement was the best movie of 2008.
