Dan Slott, writer of Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man, Clone Conspiracy and Eisner winner for Silver Surfer has quit Twitter because he does not like the political scene or the Pro-Trump Rhetoric on Twitter. Slott has been known for being very vocal on social media especially Twitter for years. When you make criticisms and comments on political themes and social pop culture everyone has an opinion. It seems that the comic world of creators are no different than any group of professionals in America with different ideas of how the world works.…

George Pérez has come out in protest of United States’ President-Elect Donald Trump by pledging not to attend any conventions or comic functions in any ‘Red States.’ Pérez explains that he feels threatened by Trump’s statements and actions, for both himself, his wife, and his family and friends. Pérez provided this statement to the Comic World about his decision. I make no comment on his actions at this time. I think the statement speaks for itself: “Just as a confirmation and clarification, since I have been flooded with requests for…

Jonathan Hickman, Esad Ribic and Dean White have produced one of the best comics at Marvel. With no continuity concerns, it’s been a comic where anything can happen and does with every issue out doing the other in surprises. Imagine Jonathan Hickman with his writing skills allowed to reshape the Ultimate Universe bringing forces more powerful that all the super-powered heroes combined. More powerful than all the nuclear might of the United States. Creating a race of people that have the power to destroy all there is and children of tomorrow…

I just looked at Action Comics 900 and was very pleased in the main story about the Black Ring Power search of Lex Luther and the “Reign of Doomsday” story but was left with mixed feeling about a back up story that was written by David S. Goyer and illustrated by Miguel Sepulveda. It was about a trip Superman made to Iran to stop the hostilities there unauthorized by the President of the United States.
