There have been conflicting reports for months now about Daniel Craig’s future with the James Bond franchise but Daniel Craig and MGM have finally announced what’s next for the long-running franchise.
Well, it’s finally official; Daniel Craig is going to return as James Bond for the currently untitled 25th installment of the franchise. There have been conflicting reports for months about what’s next for the franchise thanks to the constant doubt in regards to whether or not Craig would be willing to reprise the role of 007. Names like Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy have also been thrown around lately.
Well, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Craig was asked if he’ll be back as James Bond and immediately answered in the affirmative. “I always wanted to, I wanted a break,” the actor added about why it’s taken a while (that’s an understatement) for this news to be confirmed.
MGM has also made the news official – before you doubt Craig’s word – with the following statement: “Daniel Craig will return as 007 in Bond 25. The actor confirmed he would play James Bond for the fifth time to host Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. Bond 25 will be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019, with a traditional early release in the UK and the rest of the world.”
