Star Trek Beyond feels like its wandering further and further from what Star Trek is. I realize the new universe has its fans, but after two lack luster movies, I don’t know if I want to see Fast & Furious in space.

X-Men Apocalypse might be worth seeing since its supposed to round out the franchise (before they dump the cast and wander off into the thousand or so spin-offs), but I don’t like how they’re handling Apocalypse, and the thought of Magneto being the bad guy yet again doesn’t make me want to run out and see it.

Speaking of spin-offs, Deadpool could be interesting, but Ryan Reynolds may get old fast. I’m not sure if we’ve seen all the best lines in the trailer or if the marketing is building up too much hype.

I’m not a huge fan of Will Smith or DC, so I don’t have much interest in Suicide Squad in general, but specifically, I’m not fond of this take on the Joker.

Ghostbusters might be good, but it depends on if it embraces the concept of the first one and does something interesting or new with it, or if it just churns out the first one again, except this time they’re women.

I wish the Star Wars franchise could stand on its own without all the spin-offs and side stories. I also wasn’t overly wowed with Force Awakens (the new New Hope). At least this one isn’t helmed by JJ Abrams.

After Man of Steel, I had little interest in a sequel. But, then they announced that practically every DC character ever would be in Batman v Superman and that they’ve crammed in enough conflict for a trilogy of movies, so now this movie seems like an obvious train wreck.
